Learning built for the people
Years of teaching adults shape how I explain unfamiliar steps, notice confusion, and create room to practice.

Midlife AI grew from work frustration that turned into discovery that these tools can be useful in everyday life for people.
Hi, I’m Lisa.The beginning
I’ve been a nurse and educator for almost 20 years, including directing a nursing assistant program at a Seattle-area college. On the side, I help run a family marina, managing property rentals, meter readings, payment tracking, and paperwork. Running that business gave me real anxiety. I never had formal business training, and even when I had good ideas, I couldn’t get them to look or work the way I pictured them.
One day I wrote myself a note: have AI run the business. A friend had mentioned that AI could build tools for me, and the idea stuck. A couple of months later it clicked, and I committed to learning it. What started as a personal dashboard I called “Hello, Gorgeous” turned into business trackers, billing systems, real estate listings, and documents that finally looked the way I wanted them to.
What changed wasn’t just how much I could make. It was the feeling that my ideas could finally take shape and that I had time back that used to go to paperwork.
What I bring
Years of teaching adults shape how I explain unfamiliar steps, notice confusion, and create room to practice.
The projects come from actual operational needs, not decorative technology demonstrations.
Privacy, accuracy, boundaries, and the choice of not to use a tool belong inside the learning.
Track record
I’ve spent almost twenty years as a nurse and educator, including directing a nursing assistant program at a Seattle-area college. I’ve taught hundreds of students, written college-level curriculum, and helped keep our program’s state exam pass rate above 91% for first-time test takers.
★★★★★Wow! I was overly impressed with the material that Lisa covered. She is a top-tier instructor, and above all, she made learning AI fun. I promise you, if you feel intimidated by tech or AI in general, Lisa will make your learning experience enjoyable. Her passion for AI is contagious.Maddy H. (Google Review, Midlife AI Workshop)
The Midlife AI class Lisa presented was so informative, educational & helpful for this Baby Boomer! I started 2 projects in that class.Tammy P. (Google Review, Midlife AI Workshop)
We hosted a workshop for our friends and we got so much out of it! Some learned to personalize their AI experience for the first time, while others created an entire custom CRM program for their business on the spot. Lisa is a bridge between real life and AI solutions.Joe & Bridgid (Google Review, Midlife AI Workshop)
No matter how old you are, we’re all learning this technology at the same time. We can choose how we want to learn it and how we want to use it.
